Linguine with fennel, capers and walnuts
Wanted to use some fennel I ended up not using for New Year's Eve dinner. At first I thought pasta with sardines and pangrattato, but my brother and his girlfriend were back from their holidays, so I decided to do something vegetarian instead, since my pantry was well stocked.
I wasn't satisfied with it. Maybe I should've caramelized the fennel instead, maybe I should've used the bulb only -- or maybe what I really wanted was sardines.
