Linguine with basil pesto
Long time no post! First my mom made some baked pasta (as I didn't cook it, there was no post -- that's the rule), then for mother's day we shared a meal (composed of sandwiches, salads, iced mate and desserts) at the culture center. But this week I'm back on track with the pasta posting.
It had been some time since I last had pesto, and since I had some nuts at home, I went for it. I used a lemon too, zest and juice, which was nice but maybe too distracting. I tried tossing the pasta+pesto off-heat, but found it a little hard to do it properly without using a big frying pan. Maybe I'll just go back to my standard pesto procedure and recipe next time (too little oil?), but this was a nice plate of pasta after last month's disappointing ones.
